Section 11 of 12

Diet & nutrition

Nutrition is part of the offering — but it runs through a licensed professional, because the legal line in New Jersey is firm and we will not cross it.

The hard line

Nutrition is delivered via a licensed registered dietitian (RD) — either by referral or by a contracted RD. Trainers do not write meal plans. Under the New Jersey Dietetics & Nutrition Licensing Act, prescribing individualized meal plans is the practice of a licensed dietitian-nutritionist; a personal trainer doing so is operating outside the law and outside our insurance. This is the hard liability line of the whole venture, and it is non-negotiable.

What trainers may do

Within bounds, trainers add real value: they share general guidance and provide food-log review only. General education and accountability are appropriate; individualized prescription is not. When a client needs a true plan, the RD owns it.

Where it sits in the ladder

Nutrition is bundled into Signature and above. Foundation clients can add it; Signature, Concierge, and the Inner Circle include it as part of the membership.
